Not got flour, sick of your banana bread turning out flat? Want a sweet treat to end all sweet treats? Then please let me introduce you to the Oreo ball. This three ingredient ‘recipe’ will absolutely give you the sugar hit you need if, like me, you keep going to the snack cupboard, staring at it, and walking away empty handed.

I did not invent the Oreo ball, whoever did deserves a medal, but when I shared it on my stories some people had never heard of it before. And my only mission in life, is to make sure as many people know they exist as possible, as they are SO GOOD. Shout out to my friend who had them at her wedding, and no-one knew what they were. Due to their limited buffet appeal people were avoiding them, which worked out really well for my husband and I as we stood at said buffet table eating them in secret. Once word got out, it was too late, we’d eaten them all. Should’ve got to the buffet sooner…

Anyway, without further ado, possibly the shortest blog post I’ve ever written. Ingredients wise, other websites will ask you to measure out the ingredients, but I feel like you just want to be shoving stuff in bowls and getting these made as quickly as possible, which is why I’ve said one pack of this and another pack of this. You might decide after you 1st make you want more Oreos / less cream cheese, this is just how I like mine.

Ingredients

2 x packs of Oreos

1 x pack of Cream Cheese

1 x large chocolate bar (around 200g of whatever you fancy)

Sprinkles (optional)

Method

1) Pop the Oreos in a blender, if you invested in a Nutribullet a few years ago, I find this is perfect and you can do it in two batches.

2) Then pop your blended Oreos in a bowl and add the cream cheese, mix together.

3) When mixed, roll the mixture into tablespoon sized balls and put them on a tray lined with baking parchment. It makes around 12 balls, but again you can make them as big or small as you would like.

4) Then pop them in the freezer.

5) Leave your balls in the freezer for about half an hour, and towards the end of this time, melt the chocolate in a Bain-marie.

6) When the chocolate is melted get your balls out the freezer and dip each one in the melted chocolate and put back on the baking paper. Work quickly as the cold Oreo balls chill the melted chocolate.

7) Add sprinkles / decoration if required.

8) Pop back in the freezer to set.

9) After an hour they are done, store in the fridge and try to not eat them all at once.

I didn’t know at which point of quarantine was the best time to introduce these, but I think it is now. Sorry in advance…
